High performance clustering in RHEL 5 ?

Hi everyone,

I am working on Redhat Cluster suite in RHEL 5.2

RH Cluster suite provide high availability cluster through it High availability Service Management component. (cman, rgmanager etc)

RH cluster suite provide load balancing cluster through Linux Virtual Server.(LVS)

RH cluster suite provide storage clustering through GFS.

Now my question is that how can I build HPC(High Performance) clustering in RHCS?

short answer, you can't.

what you mention above is for High-Availability (multiple nodes, failover/redundant services) and/or load-balancing traffic through a balancer.

if you are after an HPC, you may want to look into something like http://www.rocksclusters.org/ .

Hope this helps.

Thanks for reply,

what about Red Hat Enterprise MRG?

I think redhat going to offer HPC through MRG.

yes, yes it is. I had not heard what it was that RedHat were offering and recently installing a rocks hpc, they were on the tip of my tongue. I've no experience or exposure to RH's HPC offering to have an opinion of any real value. ;-)
