You can also easily add the RHEL server to your existing ADS domain. Let me know if you want to try that out. In a typical Windows Centric environment where SA's and management is rather nervous of administering a RHEL server issues such as
-- mounting shares from windows to linux and vice versa
-- printers
-- DNS registry
-- Remote Management(via VNC , or rdesktop)
-- Web Based Administration(webmin)

easily assist the windoze SA's to get used to the *alien* OS in their environment.

Cheers

Rather adding RHEL server to Windows ADS I want to replace ADS with RHEL Server. I want to keep all the preferences that ADS has for its windows based clients.....

Hey Tarry, I am interested in adding a linux server to my active directory. I have not plans of getting rid of AD but I want to add some linux boxes to the mix for file and possibly print sharing. I assume this can be done and then use the same type of permissions on the linux box as on the windows. If you could point me in the right direction that would be great.

Thanks
