Dell Dimension and Linux

Hi everybody!
I have a problem with Linux installation on my new computer, Dell Dimension E520. I find two problems:

1) I have SUSE Linux 10.0 cds, but when I start the
installation the computer says "You're trying to install a 32-bit software on a 64-bit machine.Continue?".

2) If I answer Yes to the previous warning, the installation begins but after a few minutes the computer says it can not find the cd.

So, I'm very sad, I need Linux to work and I don't know what to do. Can u help me pleeeease???

You should drop those cds and use a 64 bit version of Linux.
If you want to stay with Suse, have a look at www.opensuse.org and navigate to the download page (if you have fast internet access and a DVD or CD burner you can get it from the site).
Latest release of Open Suse is 10.2. On this page: http://en.opensuse.org/Released_Version
Use the x86_64 links.

Linux installation

Please, could you tell me how I can record OpenSUSE 3.66GB on a DVD to make the installation of Linux? The file is .rar, I think I must unzip it before record on DVD, is it true?
Thank you a lot for your explications.

Yes, you need to "unrar" the file. You should be able to find freeware rar software online. You will probably find an .iso or something inside the rar that can be burnt with your dvd burner software.
