Question changing user passwords vsftp

Hi,
i have simple and default configuration of vsftp, created many users with their own default directories,
how can i give rights to each user so they can change their passwords (cuteFTP, etc...) remotely.

Are these all local users? If so, I believe you'll need to give them shell access on the box to change their own passwords.

If you need to do that, you might also consider making the move to SFTP or... FTPS. The way I feel about it is: why bother with usernames and passwords if you're just going to send them across the wire clear text?
