boot process hangup

I have problem at Linux during Reboot process for quite a while.
During reboot, it will hang up. To get over it, We had to unplug the network cable before it reached
The hangup portion and plug it back again just before it check for network. Bascially, babysitting the reboot process.
The reboot process hang up at "NET4 Frame Driver" portion
Does anyone know what is the system check at when it hit the "NET4" portion ? Any idea ?

Welcome to LQ :->

What is the distro u use?

For most of the distro`s you can try this

Go to /etc/init.d

grep NET4 *

And check the script to see what it does.
If possible post it here.
