AD Integration to other domains in the forest

Hi,
I am trying to test authenticating Linux clients to our AD server. Since we have multiple domains in our forest, I am just testing against one child domain. I have tested this successfully using winbind and samba and I have joined a linux client to our AD. I can login with any domain account.

I would like to take this a step further and authenticate with accounts in other trusted domains in the forest. So for example is I try

su - domain2\user

it does not work.

I am currently testing in a SLES environment, but will like to make this work in other distros.

Thank you,
Jason

Samba is not (yet) feature-complete compared to a Windows DC, and I believe there is limited or no support for multidomain environments and cross-forest trusts.

You should submit this question on the samba-technical mailing list. All the Samba developers are there.
