Unable to install RHel4U4 on Asus 95b w/embedded controller

I am having a problem installing Redhat el 4u4 on an Asus 95b motherboard with a Jmicron embedded controller. Asus does not have Linux drivers on their web site for this board and Jmicron has only one that I have tried but can not get to load. Therefore, linux will not see the SATA drives to partition. I have tried changing bios settings for the controller but, nothing seems to work. Has anyone else come across this problem and If so, did you find a workaround?
Thanks,
