Specify a local console on Xilinx board

Hi!

I try to get run a software on a Xilinx ML507 Board with the Xilinx specified Linux. The software gives me the following error: s2disk: No local tty. Remember to specify local console after the remote. Reason: Invalid argument.

So now I want to know, how I can specify a local console, in case that I'm only able to have only a remote connection to the board.

Default setconsole sets /dev/tty, but the s2disk software doesn't want to use /dev/tty, as well as /dev/console brings the same result.

How can I specify a local console on this Linux?

Try man inittab for help.

You may need to enable a serial port console in the kernel, but running sshd might be enough
