Perforamnce Issues over Target Boards

Hi,

Iam new comer to the Embedded Linux,I had some doubts Regarding Perfomance issues Over Target Board.Iam working on ARM11 Processors. and Iam using GCC 4.0.3 Tool chain. Iam Using Minicom for serial communication..

1. I Heard that there is some performance degradation with NFS, is it true?,if it is how to overcome this...

2. How to measure the cache miss rate over the target board(Where can I found the Related Documentation ...),and how we can Improve the cache Performance..

3. How we can perform cache locking..

Thanks In advance...

With Regards
Sathish

my experience is that nfs (embedded or not) is a bottleneck on the initial connection but is quite transparent (aside from minor speed differences - obvious with video) when remaining connected.

not quite sure what 'Over Target Board' refers to - is that a brand of mobo or is it that the source of the source code comes from one computer and the target is the destination cpu (or something like that) ?
