new port to ep440xs does not boot up(used BDI2000 wanted)

Hello, I need to port linux kernel to EP440xS(PPC440EPX,AMCC). I have done the porting and build runs smothly. After loaded to the board,
After the message of uncompress is OK, it hangs. How can I debug it without a HW probe? I have many years of embedded SW development experiences, but new for LINUX. BTW, if anyone has an extra BDI2000 for PPC44x family for sale, let me know. Thanks.
