How to solve alignment problem in 64 -bit arch

I got a problem of alignment for 64 -bit mips architecture. The OS is 32 -bit only. The processor is MIPS. The panic happened at the time of processing a incoming packet. it is showing alignment problem.

What could be the fix?

Please help me to solve the problem.

Which panic it is exactly? And which kernel version?

The message is, "Address error (load) exception: 0xa80000000486941d".

This is not Linux. Free BSD. Hope, the concept is same for all.
