How to install network-manager in ARM based board ?

i have a ubuntu favored ARM board,
it boots fine.

but when i do "apt-get install network-manager",
it failed for DbDriver could not open /var/cache/debconf/config.dat

Did you verify if the file /var/cache/debconf/config.dat exists, has the rigth permissions set etc.? I don't know if Network Manager works on ARM. The package is not part of the Debian ARM port, that's quite "suspicious"...

No doubt I have no idea what I'm talking about, but Network Manager works fine on a Raspberry Pi, which is an ARM device.

Hi, did you install network manager yourself, or it comes up with Raspberry Pi ?
