How to capture raw video on Debian 6.0?

Hello All,

I am working on an ARM board which has got a camera on the board.
I want to capture raw video using the camera. Could anyone tell me how to do that?

I tried following command.
Code:
root@debian:~# luvcview
luvcview 0.2.6

SDL information:
  Video driver: x11
  A window manager is available
Device information:
  Device path: /dev/video0
Stream settings:
Frame format: NV12 (MJPG is not supported by device)
  Frame size: 640x480
Unable to set frame rate: Invalid argument
Init v4L2 failed !! exit fatal
I believe luvcview is failing because the camera is not using uvc class driver.
I think gstreamer can be used for capturing raw video but I not sure about the command.

Please help.

Thanks,
Linux Omicron

Did you look at the man page? Does -C work?

Look with dmesg if the camera has been recognized by the uvc driver. If not, look if the kernel has the support builded. I have streamed a usb camera (webcam) in arm embedded system some weeks ago and is easy with ffmpeg or uvccapture.
