GESBC-9260S serial port problem

I recently bought an embedded linux board from glomation, specifically the GESBC-9260S.

The serial port is silent, i dont get a response when using minicom (hyperterminal), it is not my computer's problem as i have no problem talking to MikroTik RouterBOARDS.

I have set the bits per second to 115200, 8 data bits, no parity.
Am i missing something? I have read the manual thoroughly and does not give any advice in this situation.

Is there anyway to communicate with the board through some other port? such as ethernet port?

Are you using a null modem serial cable between the computer and the debug serial port P0?

Have you set up minicom for no flow control?

Have you verified that all the jumpers are in the correct position?

Have you contacted the manufacture via email or their user forum. It could be possible that your board is not functioning.

According to the documentation an IP address must be set so it does not appear that any networking stuff is automatically configured.
