Cool Embedded linux system on 1MB flash

Hi All,

I am having a SBC from RDC,taiwan with processor RDC-3210 on that.On that there is a 1 MB flash.I want to port linux on that flash, with redboot bootloader, root filesystem and my web based applications.

Is it possible to have such type of system. If yes, then give me suggestions and also provide me links for that. And if no,then which Embedded OS should i take to make it work.

Thanks and Regards,
Ravi Chobey

Are you sure that everything, including your web-based applications, will fit into 1MB (and that is 1MB not 1 Mb)?

Cool

Yes sir,i have seen a similar product from a taiwanese company and they are using Ecos Embedded OS.how they have ported is the main puzzle and headache for me.I have asked my engineers to increase the flash memory to 4 MB.As i am confident, that i will be able to port bootloader, kernel and web application on that flash.

Thanks for your response.
Regards,
Ravi Chobey

I think ecos would run from the original 1MB. The question is if your applications would.
