embedded linux on testing Equipment for VOIP,IPTV and IP data analysis
 

Hi Geeks,

I am planning to make an handheld device which can be used for VOIP,IPTV and IP data analysis. I am providing the features I need to test with that handheld device.

IPTV - A media player to play IP video, the equipment should emulate the STB, channel zapping,IGMP,jitter, packet loss

VOIP - A voip caller application which can do voip call monitoring and analysis

DATA - HTTP speed test and FTP speed test , traceroute, ping etc

Can anybody please suggest the appropriate processor and platform I should go for ? I am planning to put a 7" touchscreen panel on the device....

Please let me know if any more details you want to know the problem better...

nvidia's tegra would be a good one

I suggest you to refer Sigma processors/boards.
They are specialist in multimedia platform.
