booting linux without VGA port
hi All,
I am having a Intel EP80579 based board,it is not having a VGA port and i want to install linux on that board.but when i am trying to boot boot it from 2GB pen drive or directly installing it on that pen drive. It is hanging at the start itself,i think it is searching for a VGA port and that's why it is hanging.I want to install it in "Text mode".Please somebody help me in doing this. Thanks and Regards, Ravi |
What distribution are you using?
On RHEL or CentOS there are some boot options that use the serial port instead(or vnc). You probably will have to remaster your boot media to pass the options. |
i will be using Centos-5.2 and media is USB.i also came to know about some boot options, just going through them.

Please let us know if you can get it to work/how you did it :)
