Advice Pls: Availibility of Embedded Linux online course with hardware

I am looking for an online course that teaches embedded linux on one or more hardware platforms. Free (except for the hardware) would be nice, but a reasonable cost is OK. It would help to work in the most up-to-date processors. I would assume that the development environment is free. I would like to stay away from eval boards, as they seem limited.
The final goal is development of real-time systems.

Pls let me know if this is request is somehow beyond reality.

Regards,
Lou.
