Timers of ARM in Kernel?

Hi...
I need to make use of the timer interrupt in an ARM9 processors. The Development Board (Olimex CS-E9302) is loaded with Linux Kernel 2.6.20.

How could i check if the timer hardware is supported in my Kernel? if not, what i have to change/add in the Kernel ??

Note: i have installed and tested the cross toolchain (crosstool-linux-gcc-4.0.1-glibc-2.3.5) for ARM, successfully.

U can check if the timer interrupt is being used by;
<> cat /proc/interrupts
<> cat /proc/devices

What timer(s) is any are utilized;
<> cat /proc/timer-list
<> cat /proc/timer-stats

and looking for the timer usage (if any) in kernel source.

Simply do a grep within the source tree.
