winTV - bttv - DGA - suse 8 !

I installed the suse 8 two days ago, and while i was messing with the kernel configuration (kernel 2.4.18) I manage to setup the winTV and make it work.

After some kernel recompiles I change some things and now I get the following error.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

septic:~ # kwintv
Warning: main: Can't load program-file /root/.kwintvrc/default.ch!
/dev/video: no overlay support
Warning: kwintv: kv4lsetup had some trouble, trying to continue anyway.

Warning: v4l1: VIDIOC_S_PICT in ::v4l1if
Warning: v4l1: Video4Linux and DGA disagree about the framebuffer base
Warning: v4l1: Video4Linux: 0x0, dga: 0xdc000000!
Warning: v4l1: you probably want to insmod the bttv module with "vidmem=0xdc0"

Warning: v4l1: Video4Linux and DGA disagree about the color depth
Warning: v4l1: Video4Linux: 0, DGA: 32.
Warning: v4l1: Is kv4lsetup installed correctly?
Warning: v4l1: Video4Linux and DGA disagree about the screen size
Warning: v4l1: Video4Linux: 0x0x0, DGA: 1280x1024x0!
Warning: v4l1: Is kv4lsetup installed correctly?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Does anyone have any idea how to solve that thing ?

Thanks..

Forget this thread, problem solved by a clean 2.4.18 kernel reconfiguration.

just go get the normal kernel from kernel.org , if you have the time to reconfigure it all from the beginning..

good luck.
