Which Version Should i install??


hi,
am a new user of linux..i got intel 815 with 650 mhz pro...which os will u recommend slackware ...am intrested in suse 9.3 and fedora 2
waitin for ur replies

if you intrested in suse 9.3 or fedora 2 just installed them and try it... if you want LQ user opinion on which distro should be installed.......i believe there are lots of post about this in LQ... just search it....

wait a minute.... what do you mean by

are you saying that suse 9.3 & fedora is one of the slackware version???

actually i was typing so fast and didnt really elaborate all that stuff.....
actually i am using xp and intrested in linux reallly want to switch over to any newest version of linux like slackware,suse 9.3,fedora core 2 or 3...now tell me which version of linux should i switch to,with intel 815 original and 650 mhz processor
i love linux

Hey XavierP ; Maybe it'd be a good idea to merge the one , you locked in "General" with this one? That way , he(and anyone else , interested) can read it all in one place.
There were some pretty good answers in that one.

Use whatever distro you want. Try several out, try them all out and make the decision yourself to find out which one YOU like best.. don't depend on others opinions and favorites.

if you like the idea of slack but maybe find it a bit daunting you could try out vector www.vectorlinux.com
