I really like Mandrake for the home computer (great Control Panel, and many own programs), SuSE is really nice as well (I'd say it differs from many distros, but YaST is just great), RedHat is really nice as well, allthough it's package selection is horrible. Debian, I've heard is good, but after I downloaded 7 CDs and I wasn't able to install it (after responding a zillion of questions), I guess that since it's not commercial, we don't have as many releases of Debian as we'd like (besides, it just didn't worked on my laptor, were all the other distros will work)
xbaez - the best distro is Slackware. We know this because the 2003 members Choice Award went to Slackware. This is something which comes up on a daily basis - and that is no exaggereation. A quick search or a little scrolling and reading would have given you more opinions on this matter than you could deal with.
I am closing this thread as it doesn't add to any of the existing ones.
