Which distro building system is easier - Arch or Gentoo?

To compile programs that are not in the repos. Arch uses ABS. So is Gentoo's build system easier or more difficult than Arch'es?

Dont, ABS is an orphan, nobody updates it anymore...

I just download the code, do a ./configure, a ./make and a ./makeinstall - but staying INSIDE the repo is preferred...

By the way, the best way is the one that makes you reach your goal...but my way is valid for all distros...

Did I type "rasier"?? That was embarrassing... I meant "easier".

Um... orphan? But as far as I know "do a ./configure, a ./make and a ./makeinstall" only installs it into system but you can't make a package to use with "pacman -U". So how will Archers make packages?

Thanks. So it looks like the question is: which one is more simple - Arch's Makepkg or Gentoo's build system?
