When will RH 7.2 be released?

Hello out there!

Just a simple question? Do you know when Red Hat 7.2 will be finally released? I heard something that it will be come with the Kernel 2.4.8.

Also I want to rebuild my server, and I want to take 7.2 for that. :-)

RH7.2 will be released when it is ready!

Advantages over 7.1:
  • More recent software (including Gnome 1.4)
  • Bug fixes
  • Security fixes

Isn't that what they've been saying about Duke Nukem Forever for the last 4 years or so...lol

so why has it only got kernel 2.4.7 with it, when md81 has 2.4.8, ffrom what, two months ago?

and how does ext3 compare to resierfs? is ext2 goign to be totally replaced now then?

they're probably going with the kernel they feel is safer. i think tho, at a certain point compiling(not gcc) the distro, they just need to choose a kernel version and go with it. there's a new one every two weeks or so.

i've been hearing some good things about ext3 - it looks like it will eventually replace ext2 to me.
