I'm running Slackware 9.1 with the 2.4.22 kernel. I'm very new to Linux and I tried Mandrake 9.2 before I went with Slackware but, in my humble opinion, all the claims about Mandrake being easier to install and learn than other versions is false.

My main desktop machine has Gentoo running the 2.6.3 mm-sources kernel. Then I have a web server running RedHat 9.0 and a 500mhz machine with Gentoo just to mess around with(I like to break things).

SuSE 9.0 @ desktop machine
SuSE 8.2 @ two servers

(yeah I know that SuSE is not the perfect server distro, but after my configuration I am sure you can't find any differences from distros like Gentoo etc)

SuSE 9.0 on 3 desktop computers, and 1 laptop.

I am fairly new to Linux, and SuSE 8.2 was the first one I successfully installed. I tried Redhat 7.2 and Mandrake (not sure of the version).

It works well, its pretty, and my sister's name is Susie. So I am kind of hooked.

Red face fedora 2.4.****SMP

I'm having issues with the SMP (simultaneous multiprocessing) part of this version. I can't seem to load any drivers. I can't find where the kernel is.
