What official linux kernel is 2.4.3-20mdk based on?
Anyone know what official linux kernel version Mandrake 8.0 (2.4.3-20mdk) is based on (i.e., most closely resembles)? I suspect it isn't 2.4.3, even though that's part of Mandrake's version number...
Thanks!

yes, it's based on 2.4.3 why did you think it wouldn't be??? 20mdk means it's mandrakes 20th compiled version of the kernel.

2.4.3-20mdk linux version
Thanks. I was told that it's really actually around 2.4.10+ or so, but that Mandrake messes up the version number, so I was trying to confirm. You've never heard about this version number mix-up..?
