what is the defaults password or root in knoppix

i have boot the linux from the knoppix cd ,but i do not have the priviliedge to modify any file , i want to login as root ,but what is my root password,

the system was directly booted from the cd , no process was provided to set any password!

what should i do !

Knoppix when run Live does not have a root PW really... You may execute commands from the terminal using "sudo" or type "su" <enter> for a root terminal...

I have seen, however, that some programs when run even as root will ask for a root PW... I think one can be set temporarally using the command:

sudo passwd <enter>
