Unhappy what distro can i install without burning a cd?


I have iso's for linspire knoppix and puppy but i cant for the life of me get my cdrom working so i cant even use the knoppix live cd....i had my brother burn the iso for each for me but since my cdrom is whacked (and i can't get any help fixing it) i figured there must be a way to download a distro and install it without running a cd.........any suggestions?

Debian has the ability to be installed from a network connection, starting with a floppy disk or two. It's also possible to install from a usb stick. It may take a bit of work to set up though. See here:
