Question What's missing in DSL, Morphix and MD

Tried Knoppix to see how things work since I can't access MD 9.2.1 yet. Knoppix found all my stuff incl. my router and USB etc. allowing me to surf.

Tried DSL and Morphix on my machine to see how they are for the laptop. Neither one finds my hookup. From what I can gather DSL has no option to mount [only for dialup] or find the USB attached speedstream router to my cable modem.

Morphix on the other hand seems to have a ton of various stuff in all kinds of folders and it looks as it has network and connection programs. Only thing is is which part is needed out of all the PPP stuff etc. to mount it??

Best would be if I could find out which file on Knoppix is the one that found and installed my connection at bootup. Maybe then I could possibly add it to Morphix and MD 9.2.1 solving the problem.

Anyone know this or can tell me what's the easiest way and least painfull way to duplicate Knoppix install of that part on the others??? Thanks..

Michael

Here is a link on how to do it the other way (customise knoppix to be more like the others), it may be a little help:

Checked it out but that doesn't tell me what the missing link is between the install aps that see/don't see my router etc.

Might have to do it but would prefere just adding to Morphix and MD since I already got them. Thanks though..
