Question wats the best gui distro


im not that new to linux i hav played with quite a few distros but in all this time i have yet to find one that is fast and has a cool desk top (gui) has any one else found one or can u at least tell me how to make kde look cool

How the GUI looks isn't dependent on the Distro itself, but the configuration of the GUI your using. Have you tried looking at sites like http://themes.kde.org or something like that.. I think that's the site. Try google.com/linux, its your Linux search friend.

Slackware is a clean and fast dist. No hokus pokus
If you need a fast WM, check everything but kde and gnome, f.eks, fluxbox.
For eyecandy, I would consider gnome with dropline or enlightenment...

PS: fluxbox is kinda hard to get into, but its the most tweakable windowmanager..
