ututo install problem

Hi

I am trying to install Ututo XS 2006, the CD loads up OK I get through the installer configuration then when it starts the install it says that the partitions it is installing on aren't mounted then quits the installer and shuts down the machine. Ok so I reboot, create, format and mount all 5 partitions it needs then it installs but won't boot up and some times the install will die anyway.

Has anyone else experienced this? Why won't the auto install mount the partitions for itself? Also it insists on having all 5 partitions, home, usr, var, swap and root, why cant it just use one root partition and a swap partition.

Any help will be gratefully recieved, thanks.

Pete

Yes.
All questions, same answer: it is under heavy development. The Ututo Project site has the latest info and good feedback: https://www.ututo.org/www/?country=ENGLISH

Amen. The install script (versions that I know) doesn't consider other disks except the first, sometimes doesn't write the grub loader, and so on... heavy development (now kind of stopped by the developers colaboration with the olpc project).

Ahh thanks very much for the info. Guess I'll just have to keep up with the project and reading the website.

Like the look of this one.
