Total Linux Newb needs help deciding which distribution

Welcome to LQ!

This thread is in the Linux - Distributions forum, which would be the
right place for it. If you search, my guess would be you'll find this
question has been asked at least 100 times already. We're just as
likely to direct you to DistroWatch and the LQ Distro Reviews and
LinuxISO as we are to read your post, though.

Try many of them until you find the one that works for you! Then
down the road when you're ready to "learn Linux," get Slackware!

Thanks a ton! I am so totally confused that I am still learning the difference between a dist and a desktop. Heheh, I've been confused.

So far is looks like I'll be trying Suse, with the KDE desktop.

I really appreciate the community here being so welcoming...
