suse9 ftp install


welp, i got myself the image that's supposed to enable one to install suse directly from their ftp, but to do that i'd have to get some connection running first; the installer always tries to get the network settings using DHCP (never works). i think he neglects the fact that there must be a connection enabled before any talking can be done...i have DSL at home hanging on a DSLmodem hanging on a pci ethernet adapter (that the automatic setup finds just fine, btw).

I'm definately not linux expert but I'll see if I can lend a hand here. Before you tried the dhcp did you load the modules for you card?
