SUSE: when will we have a new release?

SUSE is great, it is probably my favourite distro but, we've all seen that, it showed several problems (e.g the "USB 2.0 issue", now fixed) since its release.
Any rumours about a new release fixing the bugs and adding new features such as KDE 3.3, Gnome 2.6 etc.?

Only Novell knows of release dates. It still seems to amaze me why people ask these questions on forums cause 99.999% of the time no one knows. I bet Novel doesn't even know the exact release date, they don't release it til they know for sure the next release is ready.

9.1 hasn't been out that long. For major`releases they tend to wait until there are enough new features and upgrades to make it worth while.

Try mailling Novell.

SUSE only release 2 releases a year, and 9.1 has only been out since May. I also think Novell will leave it a while before releasing another version because there are still a lot of distros running the 2.4 kernel, and they are ahead of most distros by introducing submount into the system.

I was at the linuxexpo in London recently and Suse 9.2 was unveiled and demonstrated. The official release date is 1 november.
