For the record, xfce is v3.something in SuSE 9.0 Pro.

As stated above, it appears that xfce *IS* actually on the CD's. I thought I had selected almost every package when I installed it originally but low and behold there was tonnes of stuff NOT installed. yast2 to the rescue.

I'm still having issues trying to get yum or apt to install... After dependency hell with apt4rpm it still doesn't seem to be anywhere in sight. I'm still trying to sort out what I did wrong. Before I do, I'm going to try out lincity.
