Hi all,

I have installed a SuSE on a LPAR,
can anyone have an idea on how to upgrade the kernal without affecting the current settings of program?

I am not doing it with rpm but with a zip file dl from the ftp site.

I have a customer that is trying to load Linux on his 3000 Mainframe, we are using Suse 8.0, Enterprise, it's an eval copy, and can't get it to ping the "peer" Did you have this problem, or did everything go smoothly, and also, did you have any sort of instructions to go off? Any help would be appreciated.
