I had the same problem with SuSE (did I say "had?") but I have found that any general Linux resource book, coupled with this (and other) sites is much more than adequate. Find a book that is about Linux and supplement it - the SuSE site itself can be helpful. It might be SuSE but it's still Linux :-)
Good luck!
PS Why do you want SuSE books when you've got Mandrake 9?

A boxed set of Suse comes with some Suse specific documentation.
As esteeven mentions, a good general Linux book is a GOOD GENERAL LINUX BOOK.
Check alt.os.linux.suse for Suse specific discussion.
Good Luck
