SuSE Kaboodle stuttering sound and more

Videos I play in Kaboodle have choppy sound, no matter what I do to the sound buffer. No such problem in Xine or Kaffeine.

Also, .avi files associate to Kaboodle. Trying to change this *looks* like it's working, but the file stays associated with Kaboodle.

Suggestions?

Fixed one problem. Went into the Control Center to take care of the association issue.

Kaboodle is still choppy, though. A little help, please?

Fixed 2 problems... updated KDE via YaST and all choppiness has gone away. I'm happy.

SuSe sound stuttering

What KDE update did you do that eliminated the stuttering.

I've just switched from running KDE on Fedora core 1 to running it on KDE SuSE 9.1 pro. Audio sound tends to have stuttering - something that I never encountered on Fedora.

So, I'm trying to figure out what I can try to eliminate this.

I updated KDE to 3.2.2 (I believe). I added the KDE directories to YAST and upgraded everything.

By now, they should have updated to 3.3, so the stuttering should *really* be gone now.

Thanks. I've done a fair amount of updating since posting that. The stuttering is not completely gone, but it's not very frequent. Something good seems to have happened. However, I'll check to see whether I've already done KDE 3.2.2.
