Suse 9.1 (amd64): CD-ROM data is corrupt?

When ever I work w/ cd's in suse 9.1 (64 bit) about 1/2 the time konquerer reports one file with japanese characters and in ()'s says something among the lines of bad unicode. The other half of the time cd's work just fine.

This happens in both KDE and Gnome.

Any ideas?
