Question SuSE 9.0 FTP Install problem....

Ummmm. Well I have just been converted to linux this month (I am hooked).

I can download the install files fine and it starts installing but it goes slow as crap. And I left it to install over night and woke up to find that it had stopped installing because it ran out of space, which doesn't make sence because I told it to install on a partition of 17GB (and it said it was only like 1.52GB). So I am lost.... I am completly new to linux so please help!!!! Thanks in advance.

And did you pay attention to the partition sizes while you were installing, and verify that it said it would be using the full 17gb for linux?

Nope. It did say something about a swap partiton??? What ever that is.... There was three partitions: Win XP (20GB), To be installed linux (17GB), and a like 753MB (or something) Partiton that i don't know what it is used for. I'll check back on the install and reply again with all the details. I am just going to bed so i got to be quick. Thanks,

Jeremiah
