Suse 8.0 Questions

After startup of kde there's always a xconsole with some errors about loading modules. How can I disable this window from showing up? This is visible from the moment i get the login screen.

Another question. How can I turn on the numlock at boot time?

About the numlock where is the option ??

I set it in the bios but its still off....

well I am not sure... I just left it there to check for any module errors.. but you can put it next to the clip on the top and hide it ... I am not sure... u can test it..
change some options of the clip.... autocolapse...

There is a config file, where you can turn it on and off... but i don't remember which one... the lfs people for sure know. If you're really curious, go to the lfs book and look through the section of installing the startup scrpts. You should find it in there

to disable the console at startup, go to /usr/lib/x11/xdm/xsetup. comment out
the last five lines in the xsetup script.

the last five look like this, save the file,and your done.

(
exec setsid $xconsole -blah -blah
& echo $! >/var/xconsole.pid
)
exit 0
