Small Server Distribution

I am building a set of small linux servers and am trying to decide what distribution to use.

The servers need to be able to run Shorewall, Squid, Apache, and MySQL and be as small as possible. The goal is to run the systems on 256meg CF cards, but need to be under 512 at the maximum.

They also need to be able to have a wireless driver, and the company I am working with for the wireless cards wants to know what distribution to write the driver for.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a distribution that would fit these specifications?

Thank You

I'd probably reccommend slack. But if you want real customisation then probably LFS.

I'm not sure why they need to know what distro to write a driver for, the driver should be part of the kernel.

How small can a Slackware install be? I have never used it but have a friend who has extensively. Is there a way to get it down to below 256 or would I have to use 512?

I've had 9.1 installed on a 300MB hard drive before and I'm sure there was space left and I probably had stuff I didn't need installed.

I hope the "driver" that gets written is released under the GPL. . . *cough* kernel module *cough*
