slackware cdrom mount point
Hi, just another question! when I mount the cdrom device,
I can just see the content of the cd in the cdrom and all seems fine!however, I cannot have the cd out of the cdrom! In order to do so, I have to unmount the cdcrom device itself! Is this to be expected??? I know the system sees it as another file system, so that probably does not like the thing to just disappear under its feet, but.... Also, even when the cdrom device is not mounted, within the desktop I can stil play musical cds! how can this be? let me know your idea about it Alex |
you can not eject a mounted cd. you know perfectly well how windows deal with that... BSOD. it's a dumb thing to want to do, so linux doesn't let you do it.
audio cd's... a plague of identical questions this week. audio cd's do NOT have a file system, so can not be mounted. windows just pretends. |
