RPMs for PPC Linux
I'm a newbie, just started with Fedora Core 2 not too long ago on a PC. But I'm deeply entrenched in the Mac world as work requires it. Taking a look at Mandrake and Yellodog's web site, I still have this to ask: Can I install rpms for Mandrake 9.1 on Mandrake 9.1 PPC? And the same for Yellowdog, it's based on Redhat, can I install Redhat's RPMs on it? If not, where do I get RPMs for the PPC versions of Linux? I'm not talking about the default RPMs that come with the distro, I'm talking about other programs, maybe from sourceforge.net or somewhere else. I'm very much a linux user, and if I have to compile all programs from source, that's be a bit difficult, isn't it? rpm.pbone.net has been really helpful with my Fedora 2 downloads, and I'm wondering if I can get the same ease if I do use linux on an Apple box.
Ben.
