RH9 boot problem?

I just replaced my motherboard and did a fresh installation of RH9. Installation went nice and smooth then at the first reboot after installation it stops responding at the part where is says remounting root filesystem in read-write mode. Does anyone know what's causing this?

btw: I was running RH9 with no problems on my KR7A-RAID. I'm now using an NF7-S v2.0. Then again the RH9 that I was running was an upgrade installation from 8.0.

I disabled the serial ata controller and it boots up fine. Since I use the controller under Windows does anybody have any information on how I can keep the controller enabled but still be able to boot into RH9?
