Guys..i ve been trying to install RH 8.0 for about 2 days now... When i chose the graphical install after the first couple of screens and when anaconda starts the installer probes for the hardware...so it recognizes my nforce integrated geforce2, for the monitor it says unable to probe, the mouse as a three button and then.....nothing. the screen goes black and the system hangs. i tryied text install and i managed to install but i get an error 28 when i try to start with grub. do you have any idea if its a hardware conflict or should i try another distro?

I've had random problems with grub in the past - it may be worth doing a text install again but this time try lilo instead of grub

if anaconda is not working go for base as you possibaly can.

lilo to boot and text to install.

i havent had any problems with grub what so ever. All cases are different post here if your stil having troubles.

you should try vesa driver i got geforce with built in nvidia driver it is not working you can use vesa drivers or choose login in text mode and download install nvidias orginal drivers
