Red face RH 8.0 install exits abnormally...strange happenings

hi all,
plz help me out of the gr8 distress i'm in.tried installing RedHat Linux 8.0(Psyche).it is driving me mad and i'm just an up and coming learner to Linux.the series of errors that i receive really confuse me -each time i reboot my machine to freshly try... i get a new error.i'm losing patience.to list some of the errors (not in logical order)....

1)"The second stage of the install which you have selected does not match the boot disk which you are using. This should'nt happen, and i'm rebooting your system now."

comment:- this message comes up immediately after anaconda starts running.i tried all the options like
a)"linux noprobe"
b)"linux mem=128M no probe" (since mine is 128M DDR,out of desperation i thought this may do some magic)
all gave the same error.

2)"install exited abnormally- sending signal=11-you may now safely reboot your system"

3)a "kernel panic" with the following discrepancies showed up when i used the {b} option listed above, occured:-
............(after a long list) ..
cramfs:wrong magic
FAT:unable to read boot sector
isofs_read_super:bread failed,dev=09:02 iso_blknum=16,block=32

my doubts are about the credibility of the CD-ROM i'm using for install(ie Psyche disk 1).....or plz help me understand the real problem.what is wrong and where.......?

with fingers crossed....

Try booting from a boot disk, it stopped a few simular errors for me.

To make a boot disk go to cd1 with DOS, and type cd dosutils and press enter, then type rawrite -f ..images\boot.img -d a

(assuming your floppy drive is a)

Insert a blank 1.44 MB floppy and press enter one more time.

Good luck
