which environment are you in while you try to install?? windows or linux??? and if you are in the second ,when the disk is in cdrom, under terminal ,try to this command:
mount /dev/(your cdrom driver's name) /mnt/cdrom ,may be it works, and if you are in the windows, perhaps you have to check your cdrom driver will work properly
try burning at a slower speed or burning it on a cd-rw cd. I had a similar problem and the cd-rw disc did the trick - then a month later, my cd rom drive died, lol.
