Introduction to Linux - A Hands on Guide
This guide was created as an overview of the Linux Operating System, geared toward new users as an exploration tour and getting started guide, with exercises at the end of each chapter.
For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration. This book contains many real life examples derived from the author's experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own.

Are the ISOs for RedHat 9 (Shrike) online on any fast mirrors anywhere? It became availabne on RHN this morning and is coming in at about 5KB/sec for me. This is on a fast T-3 connected server as well. Argh...
It was very hit or miss.. I started downloads from RHN that did only 10 to 20KB/sec and aborted them.. Refreshed the page, new URLs were presented, tried again and eventually got >500KB/sec for 2 files simultaneously (on a T-3 my end) and was quite pleased with this. I could never get CD 3 to go at any reasonable speed from RHN and ended up getting all 3 again with Bit Torrent and left the client running all night to help out others using BT.
