ummm.. its still beta. that means people are testing it to find out for sure, report bugs and so on. who knows if its stable yet, could be very buggy... install and test it out.
I tried it out for a couple of days, seemed somewhat unstable and here are a list of bugs from my install.
1. rhn_register - segmentation fault
2. up2date - wouldn't function
3. KDE3 - If you were running the Xp style menu's it would cause an extra grey bar on the start menu.
But when all things are worked out and RedHat 7.3 comes out of beta it should be really nice.
Yes most stable linux I have run yet. If you have a fat pipe do a netinstall and try it out, I don't think you will be disappointed. Debian has the easiest way to keep you system up to date, say you want to install nessus all you have to do is from a prompt type:
i want to move to 7.3 beta but my motherboard is MSI KT 333 chipset with onboard raid ata/133 (promise raid) which it don't support so anyone knwo if there are drivers or how do i make it work. I tried it but couldn't get RAID WORKING so i went back to 7.2
Got it up and running without any problems. There are a few things I've found so far that do not work. Kweather goes away when you click on it to get a weather report, as noted above up2date did not work.
Does anyone know when the release version is coming. I will definitely upgrade.
